Tangentially related. After moving into a new home, a friend and his girlfriend just got a few-months-old puppy from the local shelter. Which is good and all, except… the dog is from Puerto Rico. Reading the dog’s bio, a local volunteer had bought a small litter off some kids selling them in the street and, as this lady says she “always” does, shipped them to the states for adoption.
Is it just me, or is this lady sending us their problems? Nice dog I guess, but don’t we have enough strays and other dogs up for adoption? This is way up in New England, too.
